Statement of Faith

The Holy Scriptures

We believe the Bible, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, are the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16, Isaiah 40:6-8)

God

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 12:29, Deuteronomy 6:4)

Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (He is fully man and fully God), we believe in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (Colossians 1:15-20, Luke 1:26-38, Hebrews 4:15, John 2:11, Luke 24:39, John 1:29, Acts 1:9-11)

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is God and has all the characteristics of God. He lives inside all believers, baptizes and seals all believers the moment they trust Jesus Christ to be their only Savior and Lord. He lives in all real Christians and gives them the power to live the Christian life as a result of their obedience, confession of sin, and giving in to Him. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. (John 15:26-27, Ephesians 1:13-14)

Love

We believe HIS BANNER OVER US IS LOVE. (Song of Solomon 2:4)

Salvation

We believe that salvation comes by grace through faith in Christ Jesus. It is a free gift for anyone who repents and believes; it cannot be earned, but it will completely transform our lives and eternity. (Ephesians 2:8-10, John 3:5-8, Hebrews 10:19-25, Galatians 2:20)

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration of the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. (Titus 3:5-7, Romans 3:28)

Good Works

We believe that good works are not the way to be saved, but they are what a true follower of Christ should do. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, it is the duty of every Christian to live a life of good works. (Ephesians 2:10, Colossians 2:6, 1 John 3:9, Galatians 5:16, Matthew 5:16)

Sanctification

We believe in sanctification by the Holy Spirit and through knowing and obeying the truth of God's Word, and we believe in personal holiness, purity of heart and life. (John 17:16-19, 2 Corinthians 3:18, Romans 8:30)

The Church

We believe that the Church is Christ's body sent into the world to reflect God's glory. (1 Corinthians 12:12-26, Ephesians 2:19-22, Ephesians 1:22-23)

Unity of Believers

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and that all true believers are members of His body, the Church. (John 17:20-23, 1 Corinthians 12:12, 27)

The Resurrection, Heaven, and Hell

We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal happiness of the saved, and the eternal punishment of the lost. (Luke 16:19-31, Mark 16:16, Revelation 20:11-15)

Making Disciples

Every local church's primary responsibility is to make disciples from all over the world. It is our privilege to make disciples who will make disciples also. No local church can or should do this alone, and God calls churches to work together on this task in obedience to the Great Commission. (Matthew 28:18-20, 2 Timothy 2:2)
